Maria Sangiolo in Juice Box Concert Friday, March 12

Children and grown-up music lovers are invited to the Walpole Recreation Department on Friday, March 12 at 4:00 PM at Blackburn Hall as the “Juice Box Concert Series” hosts the second show featuring nationally renowned musician, Maria Sangiolo.

Sangiolo, who had been singing folk music and topped the Americana charts and "Top Ten" lists for folk music across the country and received much favorable press. She fielded requests from fans to record a children's CD and soon she had 3 family CDs:  Hello Moon (2000), Fairy Moon: Songs of the Ring (2004), and Under the Mystic Sea (2007). Fairy Moon received a NAPPA Gold Award, Parents Choice Honors Award, and Children's Music Web Award. Under the Mystic Sea was also honored with a 2007 NAPPA Award. Sienna Rose's 3rd grade studies about the ocean gave birth to the concept for "Under the Mystic Sea." says Maria Sangiolo, "I felt compelled to do something with my music to inspire children and their families to find small ways that they can make a difference for the planet in their own homes and lives."

Families are invited to bring snacks and their dancing shoes. There will be homemade baked goods, cocoa, “Dog Rock Blend” Coffee and teas for sale.
